For 110 Years, Burtrum Bakes Beans
Watch the "Bean Masters" at work...

A matter of taste...good enough?
Need more beans in the kettle.
And into the pit.

One hundred ten years ago, a group of soldiers from the Grand Army of the Republic...soldiers who fought with the North during the Civil War...sponsored a bean bake as a way of raising money for the maintenance of Moses Dane Cemetery in Burtrum, Minnesota. One hundred ten years later, on the first Saturday in the month of October the Burtrum Bean Bake continues in menu and purpose. It is living history.
