Revolution remembered at Pillsbury Parade
Two hundred and thirty one years ago a group of people decided. "enough is enough" and went to war against the super power ruling their country. Today some might call them insurgents but we now them for what they really were, "Patriots." And the people rallied around them, won the war and gave us freedom and the responsibility to maintain that freedom...not security (remember maximum security is a prison cell), not fear, not hatred...FREEDOM. Today we march to celebrate it!
You may not even see it on a map but the 4th of July parade put Pillsbury, Minnesota on the map. With homespun floats and homespun humor with a goodly dash of water, it's about as down home as it gets.
